This year we have been celebrating those in our community who make a difference and encourage us all to be heroes. This holiday season, our youngest hero is Josie Rothman. Just 10 years old, Josie has produced a Holiday CD to benefit Nyack Center. Using Nyack Center’s studio, a friend’s studio, and inviting children from around our community of different faiths and backgrounds, Josie created "A Season of Love", A holiday Tribute to The Nyack Center.
We are asking you to be a hero too! Please donate to The Nyack Center’s critical programs and services for children and families. 98% of our families are at or below the Federal Income Guidelines for Poverty. Nyack Center is the lowest-cost before and after school care in Rockland and The Hudson Valley. Parents say Nyack Center’s services are the critical piece that allows them to live and work in our community.
Your gift will help ensure that 44 of our children have breakfast and a safe place to be before school, that 87 children have snack, after school homework help and enriching activities, that 25 teens have Computer Time, that 15 teens participate in Teen Council and host Teen Nights for 100 plus youth, that 40 moms incarcerated in Rockland County jail get support and case management, that 80-plus local nonprofits can host workshops, events and so much more.
This is what Nyack Center is all about – making a difference for our friends and neighbors, so that all of our community’s children have what they need to succeed. We know that when one child succeeds, we all succeed.
Generous donors Jen Hatch and Sue Smith are matching every dollar you donate up to $25,000.
Let’s follow Josie, Jen and Sue’s lead: please give generously, join our circle of heroes and make a difference in the lives of children and families. Our heartfelt wishes for a happy & healthy season of love.
